After launching the Moto G9 Power in the UK and Europe early last month, Motorola has now brought the device to the Indian market. But while the Indian variant features the same design as the international version, it comes with less storage and a significantly cheaper price tag.

The Moto G9 Power packs in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It features a plastic back with a textured surface, which houses a capacitive fingerprint scanner with the Motorola logo and a triple camera setup. The device features a 6.8-inch MaxVision HD+ display with a hole-punch cutout in the top left corner for the selfie camera. The display has an aspect ratio of 20.5:9, and it offers a pixel density of 264ppi.
In the camera department, the Moto G9 Power features a 64MP f/1.79 primary sensor, a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor on the back. Over on the front, it sports a single 16MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. The device also includes a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing, and a dedicated Google Assistant button. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
As with all other Motorola devices, the Moto G9 Power runs the company’s MyUX Android skin based on Android 10. The skin offers a near-stock Android experience with a handful of Motorola’s customizations on top.
Pricing & Availability
The Moto G9 Power is priced at ₹11,999 (~$163) in India, which is significantly cheaper than its launch price of £179 (~₹17,629) in the U.K. and €199 (~₹17,790) in the rest of Europe, even after you consider the cost of the additional 64GB of storage on the international variant. The device will go on sale on Flipkart starting from December 15th, and it will be available in two color variants — Metallic Sage and Electric Violet.
